Friday nights in my hometown, during the wintry weather months, were for some calm however chilly. For others it was about attending and or performing in local sporting events. For others, Friday nights are an opportunity to squander a moment in time with acquaintances or family. And for other inhabitants it was spending a nighttime on the city. Friday nights are a time to convene at ease and keep an eye on whatever professional or college basketball games were on the local TV. I would watch whatever motion picture was playing whether it was a romantic film or an action thriller. The winter season was not that cold this year. The driving conditions were not terrible this year. That makes a large percentage of our town’s population very happy. Then comes spring.
Now since the winter snowfall has melted town citizens are beginning to take pleasure in the pleasant weather. People, now, go out on picnics weather co-operating until the lawn starts to get longer. Therefore the grass has to be cut or else lawns will not look high-quality for visitors to glance at. A few persons in my hometown are taking a short stroll with family and friends, some are running along the sidewalks, and other citizens now ride their bicycles. The weather is warmer, flowers are blossoming and crops are now being planted in the farm fields nearby.
Spring is now the time when baseball and track seasons get started. The high-school boys and girls play at the community high-school diamond. High-school softball games, baseball games and tracks meet become the community attraction. Then comes summer.
